The Widder Hotel is located in the old part of Zurich, near to the main financial and business districts of the city, right next to famous Bahnhofstrasse. This is a unique architectural masterpiece, consisting of 9 medieval buildings. During the work on uniting buildings in the hotel complex were found priceless frescoes of the XVI century, rare river stone floors, precious painted ceilings and original city wall of the XII century. All the relics found their worthy place within the walls of the new hotel. Long before the hotel has been opened, the Widder Bar was a renowned jazz center, where gathered musicians from around the world, jazz careers of some of them started right here. These days the bar is considered as one of the most popular institutions of the city, where you can hear live vocalist Abbey Lincoln, pianist Hank Jones and saxophonist Phil Woods. The Breakfast Pavilion opens its doors especially for breakfast. The cafe Zur Schtund located in one of the buildings is a popular meeting place for hotel guests in a relaxed atmosphere. If you need to organize a formal lunch you should prefer Restaurant Turmstubli in the tower. In warm summer evening you can relax in a summer cafe Al Fresco, located in the charming hotel garden.
