Hotel Europe is located in the historical, cultural and business center of Minsk. Built at the beginning of the nineteenth century, when Minsk was part of the Russian Empire, the hotel immediately had got great popularity in Minsk bohemians and guests of then a mediocre provincial town. In 1884 the hotel expanded and became known as "Europe", and in the early twentieth century the building was restored and rebuilt in the fashionable then in Russia Art Nouveau style. During the war the building was completely destroyed and only in 2007 Europe again opened its doors to the public as a respectable five-star hotel.
