History of the hotel begins with 1845, when a doctor George Sidny Clark from Scotland visited the island and decided that the Mediterranean climate is ideal for a health, and has built here a sanatorium under the name Quisisana, that means "a place, where you will recover the health". Since a small sanatorium grew into a high quality hotel, that became a symbol of Capri. The hotel is located in the center of the island Capri, next to the central area Piazzetta, where are cafes, restaurants and boutiques.
