Misool Eco Resort is located on a private island, which is part of the archipelago near Indonesia, and is a conservation area, as well as an exclusive destination for diving. The mission, which took over the Misool Eco Resort - is a preserving intact coral reef and marine life. Raja Ampat has the highest biodiversity on the planet. There are more than 1400 species of fish, 700 species of mollusks, and 600 species of corals. This is the first of its kind preserved area for sharks in Indonesia, as it is currently in Raja Ampat three fourths species of resident sharks are threatened with extinction.
The resort consists of 16 secluded villas built on stilts in the lagoon or in the lush greenery on the shore; villas consist entirely of tropical hardwoods. All rooms are decorated in a Balinese style, with hand-made furniture, outdoor bathrooms, spacious veranda with a hammock and modern amenities such as air conditioning, plasma TV, safe and mini-bar. From the veranda you can go down the stairs into the water, and the house reef is just a short swim.
The restaurant overlooks the lagoon offers a wide variety of Asian and Western cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh and organic produce grown on local plantations.
Misool Eco Resort offers a variety of Spa-services including massages, aromatherapy and beauty treatments based on the use of ingredients made from local organic products such as coconut, aloe, banana, coffee.
Diving center is located in the northern lagoon, also on stilts over the water. It is well equipped and is ideal for professional photographers and videographers. On the sun deck area of 120 square meters, you can relax between dives, several times a day a boat depart from the dock to take divers to the best dive sites that are located within a radius of 1200 meters.
House reef is especially recommended for snorkeling, where corals grow up to the water surface and can often see green turtles, octopuses and schools of parrot fish. There is also a chance to see the mottled cat shark, which hunts in shallow water.
Tourists also offered a variety of excursions to local villages, to ancient petroglyphs and a labyrinth lagoons, cruises to observe the birds, on mangroves and deserted beaches, where you can see the green turtles nests.
